How to facilitate the work of its Contributing Members since Wine is made from grapes?
Vitevis wineries organized with Extenda Vitis in-depth courses on viticultural techniques concerning:
– SQNPI
– Pest management
– Campaign notebook: how to fill it out?
– Grapevine phytopathologies
– Wine entomology, the main harmful phytophages in vineyards
– Buffer zone in winemaking
– Vine pruning (theory and practice)
– Soil management and water and mineral nutrition in the vineyard
– Green pruning in the vineyard
Also under CSR Vitevis has developed with the help of Cecat a whole series of training/information/educational activities to project the Vitevis vineyard into the world of the future. These can be summarized as follows:
- Vocational training (SRH03) reserved for farmers with in-person courses on some topical issues:
- Purchase and use of plant protection products,
- Reduced soil processing techniques,
- Environmental optimization of agronomic and irrigation techniques,
- Sustainable techniques for pest management
- Informational activities (SRH04) with conferences, seminars, webinars, company meetings on the following topics (e.g.):
- Precision viticulture
- Defense systems against extreme events (frost and hail etc) and use of predictive systems
- How to reduce the level of risk by integrating passive means with active means; What future for pest management?
- Recognition of disease symptoms with on-farm meetings
- Fertigation of grapevine
In addition to these activities, a whole series of “Consulting Activities” are planned, which can be briefly summarized as follows:
- Consulting aimed at mapping and managing risks to the agricultural enterprise
- Consulting for the introduction or improvement of integrated precision farming systems
- Advice aimed at guiding the entrepreneur toward sustainable management of specialty crops.
The group of member companies that have been identified will enable the implementation of a project aimed at assessing how Vitevis should intervene in the future.
