Stories of people and territories.
The story behind the symbol.
This symbol is based on a solid root in the past, at the same time it is inherently innovative and dynamic, emphasizing not only the importance of Veneto’s agricultural world, but also its ability to adapt and thrive in the face of current changes.
The name “Vitevis,” Latin for “vite vis” stands for the “strength of the vine.” For us, this name represents the robustness of the vine, the resilience of our land and of the people who inhabit it.
The V of Vitevis is reminiscent of the shape of a stylized cluster, and the design represents the architectural plan of the Villa Rotonda (1566) designed by architect Andrea Palladio. These geometric shapes also evoke the image of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian man, which represents the perfect nature of man’s creation in harmony with the Earth (the sq’are) and the Universe (the circle).
